Our approach to staff pay

At Winning Scotland, we believe in rewarding our staff fairly and sustainably. Salaries are benchmarked against sector norms to ensure they are competitive, while remaining responsible in line with our charitable purpose. Our aim is to attract and retain committed and skilled people who can best help us fulfil our charitable mission.

Reserves policy

The reserves policy is to hold unrestricted funds to cover up to six months' operating costs with a minimum of 3 months held at all times. Therefore, the allowed reserves range for 2025-2026 is £110,000 to £221,000.

At the end of our 2024-25 financial year our free reserves were £227,323 which is represented by the unrestricted funds net of fixed assets and designated funds.
