Our impact

The difference our work makes is shaped by the voices of the people we work with. Through their stories, feedback and lived experience, we build a clear picture of what’s working - and where we can do even more.

Here you’ll find impact stats, personal stories, and reflections from people who’ve taken part in our programmes - all showing how our approach is making a meaningful difference.

From teachers and youth workers to community leaders, and to children and young people themselves, these insights show the ripple effect of positive change.

What does growth mindset mean to young people?

  • When football gets tough or you're stuck in maths, don't stop believing in yourself, just keep your head up.
  • Progress makes perfect - mistakes are how you learn.
  • Keep trying hard, and you'll get there.

“The difference growth mindset made to me was after learning about it, I actually started trying to do maths, but before it, I wouldn’t even turn up. And now I’ve realised if I actually try and put effort into it, and if I keep going, I can get it.”

S4 Pupil, St Paul’s RC Academy, Dundee

“The programme was great as it supported us to reconnect with our aims. It helped us to reflect on our own life experiences and how this shaped our lives. The training also encouraged us to think about the experiences that our young people have had in their lives and, from this, encouraged us to think about how we can support them...”

Rob Milligan - Employability Coordinator, South Lanarkshire Council

“I hope the funding for this training continues. I would like my colleagues to have the chance to look at their own mindset and make the changes needed to ensure we are all working to the best of our ability with our children and young people in our care.”

Residential Social Worker and Mindset in Social Care programme participant

“This course really changed my perception of maths and that enabled me to change the learners’ perception of maths too.”

Primary Teacher and Mindset in Education programme participant

“We all want our kids to grow up and develop the right way, and we all want them to show respect in all aspects of life, including football. With the help of PCS (Positive Coaching Scotland) our club will be able to help the kids to develop their life and football skills.”
